Workshop attendees will learn the first steps of growing their own food. They will learn how to correctly sow different types of seeds and which types of compost & soil work best. We will also be talking about the best environment for seedlings to develop in and the problems they can face in the early stages. We will each sow our own choice of seeds and volunteers will be able to check on the progress of their seedlings when they are visiting the centre. We will follow up the workshop with the planting out & potting on of the seedlings once they are more established. The seeds that are sown in this workshop will provide the first plants for the garden once it has been completed.
