The Whitelee Wind Farm tour was scenic, informative and fun. Lots was learnt about the mechanics of wind turbines, the history of the site, and the importance of wind energy. We had the rare chance to see a wind turbine up close and appreciate its colossal size, and the children got to hug it! Then the kids had the exciting task of making their own hot air balloons and testing them using a hair-dryer, all of which, successfully hit the ceiling.
